I can agre...This is one of my favorite war movies. I can agree that Duvall made a better Lee than Sheen -- his accent was more convincing, for sure. But overall, I prefer <i>Gettysburg</i> to <i>Gods and Generals</i>. Especially since this movie introduced me to one of my personal heroes, Joshua Lawrence Chamberlain. To show how fine an actor Lang is, consider he was the dandified Pickett in this and the slovenly Ike Clanton in Tombstone in the same year.
